LOOKING GLASS · INTELLIGENCE LAYER

Tell us nothing.
We read the piece.

Every other cataloging app makes you fill out the form. Looking Glass watches the photo — reads the slab, parses the dial, decodes the matrix — and writes the entry for you. Across 38 categories. Free for everyone.

EXTRACTION EXAMPLES

One photo. Six categories. Same engine.

Each panel below is what Looking Glass produces from a single photograph. No typing. No category selection. The engine reads the piece and fills its category’s schema.

COMPS ENGINE

Three tiers. Zero ambiguity.

Once Looking Glass has extracted six attributes from the photo, the Comps engine can find true peers. Every comparable sale tagged on those same six axes, dated, source-weighted, and tiered. Perfect = all six match. Strong = most. Loose = direction only.

§01 · VAR
PRO

Authentication you can argue with.

Variable Authentication Report

Most authentication is opaque — a checkmark, a logo, a scan you have to trust. VAR is an attribute-by-attribute breakdown: print color, registration, font weight, holder profile, certification cross-check. Each signal is rendered with its own confidence and the underlying observation. You see the math.

  • Per-attribute breakdown
Every signal scored individually, not bucketed
  • Cross-source validation
PSA / CGC / SGC databases reconciled in-line
  • Shareable on the listing
Buyers see the same VAR on a marketplace listing

§02 · AAR
PRO

Appraisal-grade, on demand.

Authoritative Appraisal Report

An AAR is what a serious estate would commission — a written, weighted, dated valuation built from comparable sales, condition, and market context. Vitrine generates one in seconds, with the underlying comps cited, the volatility shown, and the assumptions called out. Defensible enough for insurance; transparent enough for trade.

  • Defensible valuation
Comps cited, weights shown, assumptions documented
  • Date-stamped
Re-issue on demand for insurance, estate, settlement
  • Volatility-aware
Confidence band reflects the comp dispersion

PRO

What the market is doing to your piece.

Per-piece market intel

Pulse is the per-item sensor strip. Subscribe a piece and Pulse watches the relevant attribute lanes — grade-specific volume, parallel-specific price moves, auction spikes, comp drift. Quiet by default. Loud when the signal earns it.

UNDER THE HOOD

Why the engine’s outputs hold up.

Looking Glass is a multi-pass extraction pipeline backed by Gemini Flash, OCR on grader holders, and per-attribute confidence scoring. Built so the answer is defensible, not just confident.

Multi-pass extraction

Three passes per photo: classify, detect overlays, extract fields. Each pass is independently scored and reconciled before the result lands.

OCR on the slab

PSA, CGC, SGC, BGS, JSA labels parsed directly off the holder. Cert numbers cross-checked against grader databases in-line.

Confidence everywhere

Every extracted field carries its own confidence score. Below threshold, we ask. Above threshold, we commit and show the work.

Schema reconciliation

38 per-category schemas with attribute-level type checks. The engine fits the photo to the schema, not the other way around.
